    Location of the drill site

    This site is located in the Pleistocene Salzach Glacier area, in SW Bavaria, northwest of Salzburg. With a total of about 116 m drilled Quaternary soft rock cores, the drilling crossed a branch basin of the Pleistocene Salzach Foreland glacier.
